Welcome to the "Bygdebok" (Genealogical Book) for Vik in Sogn. Several hundreds Families from Arnafjord parish in Vik are now launched. And more Families will come! Try "Arnafjord" at the menu above and then chose a Farm. The work with the Family Pages isn't completed! There are much more to be done, particularly from the last century. If you have any information about families from Vik in Sogn or emigrants, don't hesitate to contact us. 

Some Families on a Farm weren't farmers, but perhaps "Husmenn" (cotters). You will find "Cotters etc." on the menu to the left at every farm. If you chose that option, you'll get all those Families. On some Farms there there were several farmers who each had  one part of the Farm. On the left menu for every farm, we have called them No.1, No 2 and so on.   

You can then get all the families by choosing the numbers at the bottom of the Page. The numbers to left are those living longest time ago at the farm. To Search for a name, try this Page.
